Congratulations to the 11th Cohort of Wallenberg Fellows
This week officially marks the end of the year-long fellowship for our 11th Cohort of Wallenberg Fellows. This year, we had a strong group of 6 global fellows from the United States, Venezuela, Taiwan, Germany, and Sweden. Each member of our cohort was matched into a summer internship where they were able to refine their skills and share their expertise with 6 different companies: Ericsson, the Atlantic Council’s Geoeconomics Center, SEB, WWF, Inter-American Development Bank, and Shoreland, Inc. The three Georgetown Fellows pursued these internships in Stockholm, Sweden with the SSE fellows pursuing their internships here in Washington, DC.
At the beginning of the fall semester of 2025, we were excited to bring together the full cohort for an extended period of time as they engaged in course work here at Georgetown. Throughout the semester, the cohort engaged in various co-curricular activities focused on career development, including a trip to New York City to meet with previous fellows, and general team bonding and outings. Highlights include a retreat into Virginia Wine Country and a tour of the White House with an alum.
We are certain this cohort will go on to do great things and we are so incredibly proud of all of their accomplishments over this past year. Looking forward, we’re excited to welcome our 12th cohort of Wallenberg Fellows in January 2026.
The International Wallenberg Fellowship Program is open to all current first-year, master-level students pursuing the IBD Honors Certificate. Applications are now open for our 12th Cohort and will close January 19th. More information can be found below.
