5. How did your career start and what are some highlights? My career started in management consulting, where I supported large-scale transformation initiatives across a variety of industries. After a number of years in consulting, I made an internal move at my firm to join a global team that sits at the intersection of three key areas: people, cultural diversity, and business strategy. In my current role, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with business and human capital leaders from across the firm’s global network, helping them solve strategic people-related challenges.
6. What is your favorite IBD memory? For a number of years, I collaborated with the IBD program on an experiential learning program for undergraduate and graduate IBD students, in which student teams explored global business issues in collaboration with senior leaders at my firm. I’ve kept in touch with several of the participants, and it’s been fun to see their career adventures unfold.
7. How did your experience in IBD prepare you for your career? Along with providing a solid technical foundation in business, the program helped me understand how diplomacy plays a role in every organization. Large transformation initiatives not only require sound business strategy, but also cultural dexterity and stakeholder management.
8. What was your most memorable IBD course? I enjoyed all of my IBD courses but particularly Business & Investment Negotiation with Professor Moran. He had a unique way of cold calling that motivated everyone to do their class reading!
